Kevinkent Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) Didn't know wether to post this here or in "Events",but more likely to hang around here so.... I've heard rumours of an event at Wicksteed Park in Kettering, some time in August. It's not on the events calender and I can't find mentions of it anywhere, so if anyone got any info please shout -August is a busy month so I'd hate to miss it. Also, if anyone from that area knows if Mick Murphy who used to DJ at The Maple/Shades and various venues in the county, or Gibby who did Wilby, are still busy - I'd welcome any info on any gigs they're doing. Does this sound like I'm packing for a trip down Memory Lane?......You're right! Edited July 14, 2007 by KevinKent

Thanks for that - it's in the diary! I used to stop off in Wicksteed Park if I was havin' trouble thumbin' a lift from Kettrin/Corby back to Northampton . I'd kip in the little cabins at the top of the kiddies slides - are they available for this weekend?

Think the cabin has been knocked down now.... its all changed from when we were kids and from what you remember I should imagine. Its all enclosed now with fence all around the top part so even the drunkards cant sleep under the stars (or slides) anymore. The bus shelter across the road is still there so maybe thats free for the weekend! Cheryl
