I think the originals have a green label, but they are on styrene with a 'stick on' type label. The green label boots are on vinyl with a moulded label. Guest miff
I think I can clear this query up. There are TEN different presses of MANIFESTO only TWO are original authentic releases. Here goes: There are TWO original presses 1. # 1001 crediting CASE OF TYME pressed in STYRENE green label styrene original matrix reads L-1001A -2 ZTSC 14863 8-2A scratched between the 1st. & 2nd. Turn of the runout. Within the second turn is an upside-down T1 2. # 1014 crEditing JAMES LEWIS and the CASE OF TYME pressed in vinyl yellow label, black text Genuine original press deadwax matrix reads L1014 A (@ 6o'clock) @ 11 o'clock scratched in smaller letters with the first turn of the deadwax is RB132s. Beware of Yellow label, Red logo, black text COUNTERFEITS with a ZTSC matrix in the deadwax see below: THERE are TWO COUNTREFEIT bootlegs. Green label # 1001 and the yellow label with red logo # 1014 are both pressed in vinyl and use the SAME masterplate. the matrix reads Deadwax reads L-1001A - V ZTSC-178638 -2A URM and the an upsidedown TI all lightly scratched in the deadwax. Vinyl is very flexible. Basically this is a copy of the ORIGINAL styrene press, sractched into VINYL. The counterfeiter did the GREEN 1001 first. Then when the ORIGINAL yellow label red logo copies were found, the counterfeiter just repressed it using the same masterplate but reproduced the YELLOW label onto the plate previously used for te GREEN label counterfeit. The other repro's are easy to spot.. 5. #1001 GREEN LABEL multi-coloured vinyl! 6 #1001 GREEN LABEL blue vinyl! 7. #1001 GREEN LABEL red vinyl! 8. White label onto styrene 9. Yellow label with black text and BLACK logo 10. Red label black text Hope that helps, and if anyone can add anymore info to that please PM me. Simsy
I'm sure there's a yellow label boot with red text. Link to comment Social source share

Hi Miff Yes, I remember the thread, this is the Green Label Styrene Original, as described. I bought it in the 70's, you don't tend to see many copies, however, I think Pat Brady currently has a copy at £75. >>> LINK <<< Here is a Link to one of the recent Threads about this record. >>> LINK <<< Edited July 12, 2007 by 45cellar Link to comment Social source share
