Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Looks like I started a new trend last week to see who can sell the cheapest and most common records on this site. Think again all you people who allege "nice cheapies" for sale, only to be advertising thirty quidders plus. Myself and Glyn will never throw in t'owl ! (even criptically for that matter). Owners of big money 45's move aside, your time is up, low is the new high.

Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Couldnt agree more!!! This must be a first surely, someone agreeing with me on Soul Source ? Would the right honourable member also agree with me that his team were extremely lucky to scrape through an FA Cup replay after 117 minutes against Sutton United in the late 80's, thus condemning me to a rather unhappy return journey of close to 300 miles ?

[/quote] YES YES YES! I AGREE AND I WENT DOWN TO THAT WONDERFUL STADIUM IN SUTTON (SITTING ON A BLOCK OF CONCRETE WITH A COMFY PLANK OF WOOD ATTACHED TO IT) WAS IT JOLLY OR GOLLY YOUR GOAL SCORER BACK THEN??? WHAT A BLAST FROM THE PAST THINK I WAS ABOUT 14 YEARS OLD THEN!! DAZ

Hold on, just going upstairs to get the programme.........right im back. First in this box by coincidence is Peterborough v Sutton in the previous round 5/12/87, that was my best ever day out at any football match full stop. Awesome performance 3-1 away win. Posh were hammered. Now lets go through the box. Portsmouth v Wimbledon, Same again, Rochdale v Wimbledon League Cup 87, oh, one for Glyn here, Sheff Wed v Wimbledon 87 Dons won 2-0 with a rocket goal a long way out in last few seconds from Glyn Hodges I think it was, standing ovation for Wimbledon at the end, not surprising because we were good that day. Shrewbury v Wimbledon, Southampton V Wimbledon, Southend v Northampton 87 the year Northampton were shit hot - look Sunderland mid table - third division ! Stockport v Bolton Friday night, 4th divison clash 87 !!! Sunderland v Wimbledon, here we are Sutton v Mbro. Brothers Mark and Nigel Golley. No names that ewent on to play league football in the Sutton side that day. Bro had an excellent team at the time as well, every member of that side was a superb player and all of them went on to higher things and most are still in the game now. Sutton really played brilliantly in both legs. Good memories, it ain't like that at football these days is it.

IVE BEEN FINISHED WITH THE GAME FOR A FEW YEARS NOW FOR THE OBVIOUS REASONS OF HOW THINGS ARE GOING WITH THE GAME. OVER PAID PLAYERS WHO DONT GIVE A TOSS AND TICKET PRICES GOING THROUGH THE ROOF. IF ONLY WE COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME (NICE TYRONE DAVIS)!!
Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 IVE BEEN FINISHED WITH THE GAME FOR A FEW YEARS NOW FOR THE OBVIOUS REASONS OF HOW THINGS ARE GOING WITH THE GAME. OVER PAID PLAYERS WHO DONT GIVE A TOSS AND TICKET PRICES GOING THROUGH THE ROOF. IF ONLY WE COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME Me too mate, in fact I'd go as far as saying that people who still go religiously nowadays are heavily to blame for ruining the game, and here's why. As long as they are stupid enough to pay the clubs such prices then why should they stop charging them ? If everyone stopped going they'd soon shit themselves and lower the prices overnight. As unusual as it may seem, this could be the second time someone's going to agree with me on here within 24 hours I feel, when I say that football fans are even more gullable than those who pay ridiculous prices for barely average sounding records that aren't even rare.
