I do have all their Atlantic (and Bell) albums and ther nearest they ever got to that title on either label was "Rockin' And Driftin'" on Atlantic. Of course, there might well be a non US or UK compilation called DWTD, but if there is I've never seen it.
Paul McKay Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 There were 2 Eps called this Mel: DRIFTERS UK ATLANTIC EP 6003 DRIFTIN' VOL. 2
Guest melandthensome Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Many thanks to you all I have most of everything done by the group thanks to my deceased buddy frankiej who kindly mp3'd me over 20,000 sounds ranging from all genres. The reason I asked regards the above item which I have seen is that a friend from dearborn who has his own doo-wop club etc told me he was after this elusive record which he hadnt seen since the 60's. And he has an amazing collection of not just almost about every Rare/northern Detroit record from the 60's but has a superb Doo/wop RnB etc collection. He has sent me loads of great info. He flipped when I sent him copies of pete lawsons mag with little anthony etc and got back to me saying he was going for a 'budweiser' with anthony that night and was to show him the stuff. He told me some amazing stories like when he was with bobby darin and well a great story regarding certain happenings in a barbers shop to 'mac the knife' LOL...which I cant possibly print here. plus things relating early days with mitch ryder/clyde mcphatter/silky hargreaves/loads of motown artists etc etc.......maybe one day I will post a few printable things........LOL Anyway going well off subject there..... once again thanks for all your posts
