Guest Hunnymon Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Next issue is # 1000 - which quite an achievment for a any magazine let alone a specialist one dedicated to black music! The editorial promises plenty of nostalgic items for issue #1000 with features from past and present writers plus 40 year themed interviews with Maurice White and Chaka Khan! I do firmly believe that B&S is back on track now and and it as improved ten fold over the last few issues. I've ordered my copy already.

Gotta be honest with you Honeymonster but I haven't had B&S since the early 80s, and regular looks in WH Smith in recent years had caused me to believe that it was long since exstinct. I am quite surprised that it is still going in fact!
Paul McKay Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I can remember finding the 1st bi-weekly issue at W H Smiths on Charing Cross station as I headed for my Saturday job on Oxford Street. Thanks to John Abbey and his then wife Maureen for the years of soulful reading and tunes they put me onto when Contempo first opened up in Hanway Street.
