Guest Netspeaky Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I have an American Acetate of "Sweet Talkin' Guy" with "Out Of This World" on the flip side, no credit on it, so I use to play out in the 70's as the Laurie Strings - "Chiffons Theme" it was full on floor filler back then. Occassionally when doing a Casino type oldies spot, I dig it out for a spin, still fills the floor. I always had a soft spot for the Chiffons, so I was made up when I got hold of the instrumental, had loads of offers over the years to sell, but would never do.

Somehow, Soussan got hold of loads of good backing tracks like this & all the mirwood stuff. Unfortunately he was not content with this and created loads of really naff synthesizer versions of old Torch type classics. Johnny Sayles, Ovations, Sam & Kitty Etc. The Chiffons backing does bring back those great memories though, along with the Belles and Leon Young, Glad All Over.....Well perhaps not the last one. Paul
