Dave Fleming Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I seem to recall seeing Dave Halsall's copy and the label being "Emandolyn" - does that sound about right? Don't know about an alternate flip to the Lawton 45 - be interesting if anyone knows more though. The flipside to "We want freedom" on "Emandolyn" is "Don`t ever hurt me" same as the "Lawton" 45 but it`s not that title on the label it`s something else, can`t remember at the mo i`ll dig it out latter and let you know. Dave f..............
manus Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Ike Lovely I want it all / You're my bad habit Capitol Al Gardner Watch yourself/ Just a touch of your hand Sir-Rah Two great raw boned dancers with beautiful deep ballads flipside. An odd one has to be the Bad Boys - What took you so long/ You're not alone anymore. Topside an OV Wright soundalike and the flipside like Del Shannon on the dancing powder. Cheers Manus

Dave Fleming Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Ha Dave you got one as well have you? Yes Steve, you don`t turn down quality 45s like this when there offered to you as you know ,

Dave f.............. Right just dug it out,the flip side is called "When he slowly moves away" but it plays "Don`t ever hurt me", was told the history about this but can`t remember the full story,i`ll have to have a chat with DH when i see him next, also what`s strange is that it`s got a "Bendo Wright Associates" distributers label over the title. Steve G Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 also what`s strange is that it`s got a "Bendo Wright Associates" distributers label over the title. Dave f.............. Think they all have that on em Dave. Seem to recall the story was that Ernie Campbell pressed up some promos, but never distributed them. By the time old Dave Hassle found him he had 25 left and Dave got them all. I've never seen or heard of a copy that didn't come from Dave so it's fair to say the rest were probably trashed. Dave never got any Nurons off of him either Steve

John Benson Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Hey John, your last played clip "The Magic Is Gone" is my old Sunny & The Sunliners cover up (Bradford Queens Hall days). I think I recall the tape it is on - still got it somewhere Thanks for the info on the Rotations 45 also guys

Cover-up Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Must say I've not seen it very often... at any price, but do recall Craig having one on for £300+ years ago. Double siders for me would be: Pearl Dowdell "Good Things" / "It's All Over" (Saadia) - storming funk backed with crossover perfection Roosevelt Matthews "Tighten Up" / "You Got Me Digging You" (King) - ditto
