I had a Monzas record in a picture sleeve, can't remember which one, but inside was a handwritten letter from their promotor with little biogs about each group member, was quite a nice bit of memorablia. I also bought a few copies of various 45's off their lead singer/songwriter

Italy? Isn't it a grand prix circuit?

That's what I wish to know... Why an US soul band would take its name from a town close to Milan, famous for the race circuit and nothing else...?

I'm very sensible at Monza at the moment... This Sunday Pisa FC will play the play-off final versus Monza FC... The winner will jump up in Serie B... match of the life...

A city I think, with a circuit of that name nearby, but perhaps there was a US car of the same name as well? Its also a type of butterfly

Loads of Italians in the US though.

That's correct Stuart, but they were all from down south. Monza is close to the Switzerland border...

I could understand if they were the Napoli's or the Palermo's... but Monza's...?

BTW Monza is the name of a tuning Lambretta kit as welll...
