NEVER THE LESS - lee andrews &the hearts
Refosoul Rare and Northern Soul Clip library - v3 getting there..

There's no Van McCoy involvement here that I'm aware of. Thom Bell arranged it, Billy Jackson produced it and Van's name does not appear among the song's writers. (Mind you, no songwriters are credited on the Crimson 45, but there is a "Never The Less" in both men's list of published songs, so that would seem to confirm it)

Great record, of course! laugh.png

Some other Van McCoy brilliance:

Stanley Woodruff or Carl Graves -Walk Softly

G C Cameron or Van McCoy (or Dennis Brown or Derrick Harriott)- Let Me Down Easy

The Majors - I'll Be There

Francine Barker - Don't You Know Love When You See It (exquisite!)

Andy Alston and Alice Presley (Van and Kendra) - Our Love Will Never Change

Gladys Knight & the Pips - just about everything on Maxx

Billy T. Soul - The Way To A Woman's Heart

Chris Jackson - I'll Never Forget You

The Smallwood Brothers - One Last Moment

Chris Jackson - Since There's No Doubt/We Must Be Together

Oscar Weathers - The Spoiler

Van McCoy - I'm In Love With You

Nina Simone - Either Way I Lose

Little Esther Phillips (or Irma Thomas, or Juanita Williams) - Some Things You Never Get Used To

Chris Bartley - the whole Vando album

The Presidents - 5-10-15-20 (25-30 Years Of Love) and most of the rest of the album

Faith, Hope and Charity - Heavy Love

Sharon Ridley - Stay A While With Me

Barbara Lewis (or Chris Bartley) - Baby I'm Yours

Toni Lamarr - Both Buddah singles

Van McCoy - Goodnight Baby/Change With The Times

David Ruffin - three albums!

etc. etc....

Hi Tony

Will look out for this records, Thanks.

Van McCoy, when did he find the time to sleep, he was Involved with so many records in one way or another, A Musical Genius.

In the Early days, I loved the record first and then noticed it was in some way connected to Van McCoy.

His work features in many of my most treasured, favourite tunes.
