Guest Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Just arrived this morning, a pristine demo of Rubin - with a black 'A'. One of our 70's boots. How did it get all the way to California? No idea. Anyone else had this problem?
Pete S Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Well it was manufactured there! Suppose a few could have slipped out.
Gasher Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 SEEN AN OLD BOOT FROM THE STATES LAST WEEK ON BIG BROTHER MRS STALLONE.. I,LL JUST GET MY WELLIES THE GASHER
Dave Moore Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Come across this stuff fairly regularly. Even come across the old SoulSounds UK boots too. Regards, Dave
Scallybob Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I sold a load of boots on eBay and identified them as boots to make sure nobody thought they were real. Some of the lokalikes-Johnny Hampton for example-were bought by bidders in the States. I also sold the Salvadors, Stanley Mitchell and a couple of other reissues to America. I suspect there are plenty of people over there who reckon that the stupid Brits will believe the records are originals just because they are sent from America. You see quite a lot of UK releases being sold out of the States as well.
