Pat Wallace Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Found loads of titles by this group but need information on PERFECT LOVE. What label? Year of release? Current value? Any info welcome Ta Pat
Sebastian Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 "Perfect Love" is a previously unissued Minit recording included on Kent's Diplomats CD.
Pat Wallace Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks mate. I,m on me way to the vinyl studio right now. A class track
boba Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 "Perfect Love" is a previously unissued Minit recording included on Kent's Diplomats CD. that is not true (it's not a previously unreleased recording). It is the track "sure as the stars shine" that got released on 3rd world. they may have thought it was previously unreleased but it's not. The 3rd world 45 is worth about $300, funk collectors look for it for the other side. Actually, I'm just saying this, as I haven't heard the version on the kent cd, but it's likely that they just got the "sure as the stars shine" cut (which sounds like it's titled perfect love) and released it as "previously unreleased". If someone has a clip from the kent CD, I will listen and confirm whether or not it is the same.

"Sure As The Stars Shine" (a ballad) and "Perfect Love" (uptempo dancer) are two entirely different tunes with different lyrics and recorded some 4 years apart.

Prophonics 2029 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Fantastic track, had the CD for a few years since they played like at The Cleethorpes weekender and I can't understand why Kent record's have not had this as the anniversary single or out on general release, not sure about the magic pond? but my favourite Diplomats track.
