pow wow mik Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Here's my last copy, compliments of British Airways trustworthy buggage handling department... can't you take records in as hand luggage? I wouldn't trust baggage handlers with anything, I spent too much time in Crawley!
Guest Mary Boogaloo Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 can't you take records in as hand luggage? I wouldn't trust baggage handlers with anything, I spent too much time in Crawley! I have since, my boy! I got caught with a heavy hand luggage and forced to put it through. It was a metal flight case with 2 locks, so some bozo must have thought it contained some crown jewellery or something. It looked like the tried to force it open with a crow bar, resulting in some records breaking. A total nightmare, but I did manage to get £400+ off BA. So, if you're ever forced to put your precious babies as luggage, just stump your feet hard or miss that flight!

My flight got booked for me in spanish and I didn't have time to translate the allowance etc. Turns out Easyjet only allow one hand luggage per person now, so I had to leg it round the airport to find a bag big enough to combine records and handbag before I was let through security. A total nightmare!
