Mikevague Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Picked this up last weekend, but dunno who it is... It didnt come with a record when I bought it. The back is all blank with the Columbia logo in the upper left corner, and the bottom right has Marcas. Reg.printed in USA etc. Thats it! Can any of you out there tell me what record this was promoting? Thanks in advance!
Cover-up Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Presumably a boxer? I was thinking maybe Joe Frazier, he recorded for Capitol though... must be a few singles made by professional boxers?
Gene-r Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Cassius Clay recorded "Stand By Me/I Am The Greatest" for Columbia in 1964, so I wonder if this is the promo sleeve for the record? Obviously that would make the fellow on the front cover a total unknown (I haven't a clue who he is anyway!).
Guest Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Big Joe Williams, just thought i would thro`a boxing singer in.
