UPDATE

Bettye LaVette's "I'm Holding On" contains some of her most fierce singing. She shouts and hollers for days! I know Bettye personally and she sent this to me, along with all of her recordings. I'd love for everyone to hear her version of "Behind Closed Doors." It has a beautiful arragement, with strings hanging in the background and Bettye's incredible vocal. She also sent me the original, long version of "You Killed The Love." When it was released, the company had shortened it. "You Killed" was backed with "Witchcraft In The Air" (Lupine Records).

LaVette's new album will be coming out later this year (2007).

Is it just me, or has there been quite a lot of these for sale recently considering it is a relatively rare record?

dont think theres many available copies i could have sold this 3-4 times at 350 a little rarer on a demo which is still in my collection
