Posted May 12, 200718 yr I was just wondering if anyone was intrested in posting up their picture sleeves for everyone to see. I love to see 40 year old Soul picture sleeves and you just don't see that many about do you. Its great to see vinyl turn up in good condition but when it has the original sleeve aswell............just that bit extra special for me!! Has anyone got the sleeve that came with "The Metropolitan" by "the Jaguars" as I have never seen that! What other rare and unusual picture sleeves are out there??? Scanners at the ready people, Lou Johnson, Liz Verdi, Ray Pollard please, It would be great to see them all Here are a couple of mine, the obvious ones!
May 13, 200718 yr Her's some more spanish editions. Archie Bell and The Drells (Atlantic) and 5th Dimension (Liberty), both distributed here by Hispavox. Just about everyone did more than we did, Bogue. South Africa, Asia, Southern Hemisphere - they all did 'em. I guess in the UK it wasn't seen as an essential marketing tool. Godz

May 13, 200718 yr Couple of Japanese ones. Sammy's great version of Shaft and The Human Beinz - Nobody But Me. You might be able to make out the title just under the yellow characters at the top.

Certainly not more than a US Roulette copy would have cost. Nice thread this innit? Here's two more from Spain. Not speaking the language I took a punt on Evasivo meaning Elusive. I think the sleeve slightly makes up for the dodgyness of this oldie
May 13, 200718 yr Some more spanish soul singles... (Brenda & The Tabulation's Top & Botton and Sly's Epic, both distributed here by Discophon; 5 Stairsteps on Buddah, here by Fonogram; Little Beaver by Spanish RCA and Martha - MCA -, distributed here by Movieplay)
