Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Here you go. Did me for nearly $100. Total crook. Even admitted it but still didn't send them. Leonard Steward, diggerscoalition@comcast.net
Simsy Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 X 3 'diggers' on here. Don't think Leonard is one of them though. Can't you get your money back from PayPal?
Mikevague Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Here you go. Did me for nearly $100. Total crook. Even admitted it but still didn't send them. Leonard Steward, diggerscoalition@comcast.net Is he from California or Los Angeles? What's his Ebay user name? Its a small town over here...
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 (edited) Is he from California or Los Angeles? What's his Ebay user name? Its a small town over here... Think it was diggersgoldrecords. Can't go back far enough to find out where he was from though. This was the case that paypal never even responded to. N.B. IT IS NOT DIGGERSGOLDRECORDS Edited May 3, 2007 by Pete-S

Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Listen I could be wrong about that username, I'll go back again and check just to be sure, don't want to accuse the wrong person!
Simsy Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Listen I could be wrong about that username, I'll go back again and check just to be sure, don't want to accuse the wrong person! Do. The 'coalition' bit of his email is why I initially thought it wasn't him on here..
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Right it is not diggersgoldrecords and I apologise for even mentioning his name, on ebay the seller name was 35dustbunny from gary, Indiana, and of course he is no longer a registered user.
Souljazera Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 looks like another belgium special to me...moving around the world defrauding people
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 looks like another belgium special to me...moving around the world defrauding people  Don't think so. He emailed me and said he was sorry he hadn't sent my record (that's record not records, there were three) but he was trying to get back on ebay and would I not leave him negative feedback I tried to but it wouldn't let me, anyway I have to say I am more angry with paypal for doing f*ck all about this

Will remove the above. Hope you have some joy with this. Or is it too late for that?
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Will remove the above. Hope you have some joy with this. Or is it too late for that? Too late but I'll be watchful if there's any new sellers registering from Gary, Indiana.
Simsy Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Too late but I'll be watchful if there's any new sellers registering from Gary, Indiana. Always been a dodgy state ..
Rich Buckley Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Too late but I'll be watchful if there's any new sellers registering from Gary, Indiana. Isn't it 45 days now to lodge your Paypal dispute from the date of payment? Are you outside this Pete? Rich
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Isn't it 45 days now to lodge your Paypal dispute from the date of payment? Are you outside this Pete? Rich No Rich it's been done and dealt with - I lodged my complaint january 21st. I heard nothing, and I mean nothing for 3 weeks, I rang them and all they would say that it is in progress though nothing ever came through on email, after a month I checked and they had closed the case without even telling me what the result was! I got no refund and no explanation so I put in an official complaint, which they said they would respond to within 30 days. They did not respond. I had a look today at this closed case and there was a note on it saying they have now found in the sellers favour and that I should refund the refund he gave me!!! Except he never gave me a f*cking refund! I have to say it's one of the worst cases of a company not caring about their customers thats happened to me.
Pete S Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Always been a dodgy state .. Well I don't know - my Auntie Sherry lives in South Bend, Indiana. She's not my real auntie, my mom chose her as a penpal in 1955 and they've been in touch ever since, visited each other, gone on holiday etc. Anyway Sherry's Auntie & Uncle are the foster mother of - wait for it - Halle Berry

Sorry to hear this Pete - sadly, I'd be willing to bet most of us have our own version of this story. PayPal are an absolute nightmare to deal with in every respect. I've been ripped off for money as a seller and I've been ripped off for money as a buyer as well. Because PayPal, (like their owner eBay), insist on conducting all correspondence via email, they can ignore you and fob you off at will. Their charges for ordinary (ie hassle free) transactions are extortionate, but if you don't offer PayPal as a payment option on eBay, then you risk alienating potential bidders who've been indoctrinated into believing that the only safe transaction is a PayPal transaction. I've been selling stuff on eBay for eight years, but it's less now than it's ever been. For a few years it was a pretty good way to do business. Now it's sh*t.
Bigsoulman Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 It really is a ridiculous situation, i've been lucky but would do my fkin nut in if it happened to me , what's happened to the Google thingy that was on here a few weeks ago?, are they still going to rival paypal? Lenny
Diggin' Dave Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Damn, not a good look to see your name being associated with dodgy ebay deals, especially when you're from Belgium. You really should've checked the name that you were discrediting was correct before posting it on here. I appreciate the apology though, and i understand where the frustration came from.
