Drew3 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 ...........towards the end of The Soulclub Jukebox version of Spyder Turner's I've Got To Get Myself Together? Sounds like a gun shot! Is it because it is taken from a radio show or something and that sound is laid over to stop copying/booting? Not on all copies is it? KTF. Drew.

Crumb Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I'm sure I heard a dog bark on Candy Staton's now you've got the upper hand.
Guest mel brat Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 (edited) I'm sure I heard a dog bark on Candy Staton's now you've got the upper hand. Perhaps the dog's got hold of a Postman's upper hand... Edited May 2, 2007 by mel brat
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 There's a very famous example of 'extraneous noise' on one of John Lee Hooker's early recordings, a lot of which were recorded in a makeshift studio in a record shop on Hastings Street, in Detroit. I can't remember which track it is, but on one such recording, about half way in, you clearly hear the door of the shop open, followed by a woman's voice asking for Nat King Cole or something similar. Amazingly, this recording was actually released at the time, on a 78! If I can remember or find out what it is, I'll alert the forum...

Crumb Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 That's an urban legend with no substance! Ok, it might not be a dog but there's definitely a noise that shouldn't be there about 45 seconds in
