There's a great sceen in Carlito's Way with this song that I love. Soundtrack also includes Backstabbers by the O'Jays.

Alltogether a great film soundtrack but not a great one for listening to.

Here's Backstabbers.

Watch the two guys at the front right of the stage and the girl and guy on the far side when they cut to a side view. Very interesting dance moves, better than the usual 70s dancing about.

A great dance record and one that I 'popularised' (you can't break a well known record, and you can't revive something that was never alive, now can you?) over here a few years ago.

Sounds about right - the other day I came across a PIR white demo of this which I bought at the Mecca - 45 format but plays at 33rpm - short and long versions

Happy days

Well before my time  but my older mates tell me this was a Mecca monster as a new release at the time until it became a world wide hit of course ! Right ? :D

Carlitos Way, really good film.

I Love Music fekkin awful record.

Maybe an OK Jazz Funk record, but that counts for nothing if you love soul music.

Or maybe people blowing whistles in night clubs added something to it that I missed.
