Cover-up Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I remember hearing "You Made Me Suffer" by ANDREW BROWN on Gilles Peterson a few years back. Think the label is BRAVE - pretty obscure. Just wondering if anyone round these parts has one, or would be prepared to part with a copy... or know anything about it. ...just done a google and found it's come out on a CD compilation. Still - a seven would be nice...
pow wow mik Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 A later, funkier version of the one on 4brothers, think there's two copies known of this or something, but you probably know that. You'd be looking at £100s anyway. Great track.

Cover-up Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 is this the same as tyrone the wonder boy on 4 brothers? Same song, later version. Oh well, just thought Chalky or someone would have it in their collection from a Soul Bowl pack or something...
Greg Belson Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Same song, later version. Oh well, just thought Chalky or someone would have it in their collection from a Soul Bowl pack or something... Just the two, I think - in the collections of Dante Carfagna and Josh Davis.
pikeys dog Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Not 100% sure on this but I think Hoss may have played this at Back Beat or Prestayn... Of course I could be wrong, as I was very, very, very drunk at the time.

You'd be looking at £100s anyway. Great track. Were you at the Texas Funk launch party a few years ago Mik? Shadow played it there. I've got an mp3 of it somehwere, the recording of the face off between Keb "another deepfunk exclusive" Darge, Ian "This is the best record you'll hear all night come on you slags" Wright, and Josh "sticking with the councious theme" Davis. It was the best tune Shadow played that night I think. Although the "Clap Your Hands" was still his one off at the time.
Cover-up Posted April 26, 2007 Author Posted April 26, 2007 Not 100% sure on this but I think Hoss may have played this at Back Beat or Prestayn... Who is this Hoss you speak of??? Fancy PMing me his (or her, of course) details?
pikeys dog Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 1, Hoss doesn't do the interweb thing. 2, Don't think he'd be up for selling, so wouldn't appreciate me passing his phone no on. 3, You can usually find him in the R&B rooms at events around the UK, and always at the event below....
