A mate has a Stafford Top of the World tape from 82/83 ish (when Searling was still involved) and a Wigan one from (I think) 76. Not brilliant quality but you can sense the atmosphere on them.

Just wondering what old live tapes are actually out there at moment

Know some are well into them and do swapping and such

Have a few that sorting out for mucker, so if anyone listing may save bit of duplication

Would love any live tapes from Stafford if any one can oblige.  Will do something in return.

link

Did a live tape of Lorraine Chandler and Eddie Parker at Stafford on 22/06/85...know the date because it was my 21st Birthday!

Recorded the tape to PC and made some real audio which you can stream off my website

https://www.soulechoes.co.uk/ on the "Live" page.

Or click here to hear for starters and hear Chris King introducing Lorraine Chandler https://ic0htsk00.ic24.net/bay/lorrain1.ra

Don't sue me for copyright Chris please! :shades:

Got some tapes somewhere Of Keb, Guy, Pat and Mr Thorley doing their stuff at TOTW around the same time...see what I can do with these...if I can find them! :shades:

they are mine.

Stafford 2 1/2 anniversary.

Gary Rushbrookes last spot. Upstairs and (I think) downstairs.

Also one of the regular nights, where Guy arrived late after DJing at Peterboro.

Intro to the first tune

'90 minutes from Peterboro. Not bad. My hands are shaking like buggery. Here's the Chaumonts'. :shades:

ta for replies

though what was really after was actual listings- as in what is already out there

have a fair few tapes off mucker covering a wide range of venues and eras and rather than throw up some live clips that are already out there, thought be worth a shout to see if anyone had listings, as in past have seem fairly detailed lists complete with dates and plays

plus also makes a good reference, espically in the "did it have plays at ****" style posts

It wouldn't suprise me Pete, it's s##t of the worst kind!

This is not a wind up.

A soul fanzine in the mid 70's recommended Lene Lovich's version of I Think We're Alone Now. It was the original A side to her hit Lucky Number. It bombed and Lucky Number was reissued as the top side with a different flip. The mag went on to point out that the Rubinos version was not a soul record!
