Paul R Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Some awsome tracks here and many I don't know, probably because I don't come out to play. Any way, what is the deal? do you decide what you are going to play, and write it down and just do it? When I used to do some nights in the late 70s and 80s, I didn't know what I was going to play,I just used to go through the box before I started, but that would change by dancefloor reaction or just on a whim. I certainly couldn't say what I played after the night ended, except for a couple of tracks I would remember.

If you go by the crowds reaction, you just keep looking for those 100mph stompers, instead of grabbing quality tunes. There is an art to balancing the energy of dancefloor. Keep it too high too long and peoples enthusiasm seems taper off. At least that seems to be case here in the states...lazy Americans!
