Guest MBarrett Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 (edited) Anyone possibly upload the whole of Motown Chartbusters Vol 3??!! Round our way it was a staple at youth clubs and parties. Kids used to walk round with it under their arm like it was a "badge of honour". MB P.S. That and Otis Blue. Edited April 24, 2007 by MBarrett

Slightly different version of Marv Johnson from the album? - pretty sure I'm right on that??!! MB yeah well spotted from Soul compilation CD. I'm in the process of transferring vinyl to my PC I'll look out vol-3 and convert it .. don't think it's in good nick though it was a well played album.
Guest MBarrett Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 it was a well played album Lot's of those MC Vol 3's were played to death. Sort of places I used to hang out had an old Dansette record player, 2 or 3 L.P's and 10 singles if you were lucky. The singles all went on in a pile and as one finished the next one dropped down. The L.P.'s were played over and over. £1 12 shillings for an L.P. as I put in another post. So you were grateful for what you'd got! MB

Guest MBarrett Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 this is from the LP Cracking! And all the better for the odd scratch and bit of surface noice. It adds authenticity. Bit like the patina on a piece of Chippendale furniture. MB
