I remember when all that UK Brunswick Northern Soul stuff came out and looking at them in my local shop and thinking "oh they've made the labels red now" without realising they were Demos.

Not the end of the world, I know, but still a bit of a "DOH!" situation.

Had the same problem back in the very early seventies. There used to be an old second hand record shop near DERBY ROYAL INFIRMARY and he used to have a suitcase full of those silly GREEN labelled Tamla Motown records that nobody wanted (yes they were all there Kim Weston , Francis Nero, the lot). I think the shop was called Daves Surplus.
