A quick one, as many of you know I'm currently coming to the end of my second year of a three year degree course at Salford University. Studying Television and Radio production. For one of my projects this year I've been asked to produce a ten minute radio doccumentary using Archive footage and new material with interest to a local audience.

So I thought it would be interesting to do a comparrison piece on peoples experiences of the Soul scene from the mid seventies and eighties to today's scene.

The second part is obviously easy enough getting material surrounding todays scene but what I'm hoping for is some archive material.

Has anybody got any copies of old interviews with figures on the Northern or simply Soul music scene from the seventies which could be used by myself?

These can be in the form of old doccumentaries or in-deed personal interviews.

All I need is a few clips of audio footage that can be used in terms of a comparrsion with todays scene.

If you can help me out or point me in the direction of some of said footage I would be very grrateful and buy you all pints or whatever takes your fancy at future gigs.

PM me or e:livesey1@hotmail.com

A copy of the Mike Shaft (is northern soul dead) Show from Picadilly Radio in late 81 in the post for ya.

Some intresting interviews with Dave E, Brayan R, Richard and Russ along with Frank Elson from Blues & Soul the first part was recorded at the Casino the second part at Tifanys night club allnighter in Wigan,

You can hear the music in the background on some of the interview's.
