pikeys dog Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) You'll not get Direct Drives for £150....try close to that each plus cost of mixer. Numark do a DJ set of Belt Driven decks and mixer/cross fader for about £150. Edited April 22, 2007 by pikeys dog

Russ Vickers Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 can anyone tell me what the Numark Decks are like ????. They look cool. Is there a site anywhere that makes the comparisons 'Which DJ; or something. RUSS
pikeys dog Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 oops, neglected to say he wants secondhand gear in reasonable condition thanks anyway I wouldn't rec second hand unless you know the person selling. Bit like a boy racers car, you never know the amount of abuse that they have had. Even if they look ok I'd still have to have them serviced, which bumps the price up no end. Surely a decent low price set of decks would be better for what is presumably a starter? Upgrade to professional gear later...

Barry Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 can anyone tell me what the Numark Decks are like ????. They look cool. Is there a site anywhere that makes the comparisons 'Which DJ; or something. RUSS Fairly basic, cheap and with no weight to 'em. If you're buying them to mix with too, they will drive you up the wall.

There's someone posted this on our site... https://www.onhubertstreet.co.uk/mb/viewtop...9&highlight= ....but the lot is £300, and they are not perfect - but I think a fair price for what they are.

Woolie2003 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 thanks everyone who's replied on this thread really helpful, and we're looking at some of the suggestions any further replies will be welcome I bought one of these decks and they are fabulous for the money (direct drive for under £67 - amazing!!!) https://www.thomann.de/gb/american_audio_ttd_2400.htm Looks like they also do a mixer too, so a good chance of getting the lot for £150. Hope this helps. Steve
Woolie2003 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Should have looked closer - they do a bundle option at just under £150... https://www.thomann.de/gb/american_audio_turntable_bundle.htm Cheers, Steve
