Mike Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 request for info via contact us Simon Euan-Smith sent a message using the contact form at https://www.soul-source.co.uk/contact. Hi! - I wonder if someone could be kind enough to help me? I'm a freelance writer, and I've done an article dealing with, amongst other things, the records Ernie and Jean Terrell cut before Jean joined The Supremes. That Fury single is a real mystery! - no-one seems to know the catalogue number, or when it was released. There's a suggestion that it may have been a promo item only, though one person has told me he's sure the copy he had for years (and only recently sold!) was a regular issue. If anyone could shed some light, and give me any information (a scan of the record would be fantastic!) it would be very much appreciated. All good wishes, Simon Euan-Smith

All good wishes, Simon Euan-Smith I don't have the Fury 45 (I have a calla 45 and argo 45), but I do have an early Jean Terrell photo and an Ernie Terrell and the Heavyweights photo. If Simon wants scans, he can contact me through this board or by emailing me at the address at the bottom of www.sittinginthepark.com. Jean went to Farragut high school on the west side of Chicago, which is the same school that the Mandells and Conquistadors went to. I've been told (but have not confirmed) that the Ter-rels on ABC are also from Farragut and are related to Ernie and Jean. Thanks.

All good wishes, Simon Euan-Smith The Fury single has to be one of the following catalogue numbers: 1065 / 1072 / 5003 because I've just identified 5001, which means these three are the only ones I'm missing from the Fury label discography.
