Tomangoes Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Are there any Northern/Rare soul tracks that have not been reproduced on a CD (or MP3 I suppose). Of course there will be super obsure played once at an all nighter type track, although some of the latest CDs have a fair share of these also (Millionaire series etc), but I mean generally accepted as a played track at sometime in the last 40 years. I saw someone recently offering around 8000 tracks on about 9 DVDs for less than a full priced double CD. Ed
Guest upsetterfc Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I know there are JA tracks that have not made it to comps. That's especially true for Prince Buster, who has only released about 20-25% of his catalog for reissue. Not sure if the stuff I have is on the various comps that Trojan/B&F/Heartbeat/Soul Jazz have put out. If the DSL works this weekend, I'll put some tracks up in the skinhead reggae thread that might go well at a soul night.
