Guest collo Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Hi there as anybody got this track what they could put up for a listen ` Cheers All
Marc Forrest Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 It is (as the title suggests) a version of the Doris Day tune (oops). Flip it over for the better side "Daddy Oh Long Legs"
Guest Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Funny enuf I supplemented my UK Atlantic copy with a nice French picture sleeve copy just last week. But it has 'Pistol Packing Mama' on t' flip. I'll post up later Que Sera sera ' later if no one else does.
Guest Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Actually, I'll post up the pic as well cos I'd love to know which of the guys is Troy Keyes.
Guest collo Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 (edited) High Keyes thanks for all the info about the track ` it would be nice to hear both the B sides mentioned aswell cheers again Mark and Simon Edited April 13, 2007 by collo

Guest Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 No prob collo..it took me a while to find 'Daddy Ooh Long Legs' ...not very keen on it any but I like "Que Sera Sera" cos he sings it nice !
Guest mel brat Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 -->QUOTE(Geoff B @ Apr 28 2007, 06:31 PM) link Is it being played somewhere? Yeah. The Twisted Wheel!
FrankM Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 It could well be, The Rock Garden bar in Glasgow is being re opened as a bar/club The Twisted Wheel. This year's Glasgow Mod weekender will be using it for several sessions.
Geoff Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Martin Thomson played Que Sera Sera at Soul In The City, not sure if it was at Vivo's or the Ditch Bar, memory being poor these days. It was a top Mod club play in 1964. Wish I had it on a 45.

(I finally got a good UK copy only 18 months ago in fact) Not too expensive, and a genuine classic of it's type. I love it! - it really gets inside your head!
Jerry Hipkiss Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 It's a really great record once you overcome any qualms about it being a "cover version" of such a familiar song. ...and talking of cover versions, don't forget that Geno Washington took it, souped it up somewhat, and made it a mod anthem in '66
