Top of tree is Marvins "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" I'm a little bit surprised that it wasn't "Whats Going On" at No1 (which is #20). "Lets Get It On" is No 36 making it 3 singles for Marvin in the 40.

Jeepers I didn't realise Blues & Soul was still going ....Says a lot when they publish an essential top 40 - that's something I'd expect to find in the Observer or Guardian or something.

Those sides ignored for over two decades until used in popular TV commercials or films by Quentin Tarantino. b. Items never actually spun at the time on Radio One, but now regarded as de rigeur by the editors of Men's lifestyle magazines and other assorted yuppies. c. Lots of things voted for by people under 23 who have never actually owned a vinyl record, but have downloaded the complete soundtrack to 'The Blues Brothers' onto their ipod ! (Actually, they're all good sides, but ones most Soul people will surely already own, if not from first time around then on a hundred and one different compilation albums - so what exactly are the point of these listings?) Nocker Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 It looks like the track listing to one of them there NOW, what ever they are up to now CD's although i do own every track on vinyl. i wouldn't make a point of going out now to buy any of them......
