Cunnie Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Anybody out there got a copy of Get Ready - Alan Harris & Perpetual Motion for sale? Would prefer the 12" but a 7" will do. Thanks, Mart...
Guest OskarB Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 (edited) Isn't the 7" a LOT rarer (or at least more expensive) than the 12", or am i mixing things up again? Edit: Sorry, can't help you with the want. Edited April 10, 2007 by OskarB

Edit: Sorry, can't help you with the want. You're right Oscar the 7" does seem to turn up less. Would sooner have the 12" though simply because the sound quality's always better on a 12" than a 7" + with a bit of luck it'll be cheaper.

Think the 45 is listed as £1000 in JM's latest book Makes the £50 i sold it for a year or so ago a bit sad Should have sold me 12" instead i reckon! T'other side is the side for me - fantastic stepper! Cheers Steve
Jason S Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 What's the going rate on the 12" - might be tempted to let mine go
Steve Plumb Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 What's the going rate on the 12" - might be tempted to let mine go I'd have said £50 tops at a guess? Cheers Steve
Sebastian Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) Think the 45 is listed as £1000 in JM's latest book That's ridiculous. The latest copy of the 7" that sold on eBay (only a bunch of months ago) went for about $75. Edited April 11, 2007 by Sebastian

Sebastian Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Have you got a link for that sale , I never saw that ...cheers .. No, sorry. It sold on October the 11th of 2006 and had item #200033980268 but eBay only archive auctions for about 90 days. I was the second highest bidder and it was in VG+ condition. Really wish I had bid higher... I have the 12", but it kind of "gets lost" among my LPs so seldom play it. Both sides are great though!
Dave Thorley Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Have you got a link for that sale , I never saw that ...cheers .. Funny I only rated the 45 at about £150, but in this crazy world who knows.

I swapped a ten dollar record for the 7" copy of it, just got a phone call from the person, he isn't happy...(sorry Martin, i really didn't know that!...) Edited April 11, 2007 by malayka

Can't remember seeing many of the sevens for sale though. Wouldn't mind a copy of this one myself, but with the price tag it seems to attract these days i'll wait for the copy you others miss out on on e bay
Cunnie Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 Think John must have pressed the 0 key a time too much. Been offered 2 x 7" copys for £100 each but gonna hang on for a bit to see if a 12" turns up before I jump in. Better sound quality & 1/2 the price or less.

Steve G Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) For many years this was a standard £50 seller, and that's what I paid. I haven't seen it around for sale much in the last few years though. There is an album acetate as well with this track on which may be where the 1,000 comes in? Edited April 11, 2007 by Steve G

Let's get this right fellas - i said it was 'listed' in JM's book - i didn't say that's what it's worth!!!! I too believe it's a typo - should be £100 - that's more realistic! Steve
