MP3 anyone? Edited April 6, 2007 by mischief
Chalky Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) its nearer 300/400 quid if you ask me, maybe more. every copy I've seen sold with no effort. I personally prefer it to Jimmy Reed Jnr but they are both great in their own respect, two different styles. Edited April 6, 2007 by chalky
Souljazera Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) sorry to disagree chalky... leory barbour sold it for 2.00 about 10 years ago....not a good record imo....poke used to play it at clifton i think...sounded poor then as well... i wouldnt say any more than 100-200 absolute tops...manship auction went a bit silly i think...anyone know what it went for?? all the best Edited April 6, 2007 by souljazera

Rushden Vic Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Cheers Tony I've not heard the Jimmy reid one what does that go for? MP3 anyone? jimmy reids about 1-150 for a superior record in my opinion of course

Chalky Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) you maybe right on price chalks but it sure aint made above 250 on ebay , and the fact dealers push up prices on anything obscure is for there benefit not mine . maybe due to the fact it ain't indemand. plenty of stuff often ignored on the bay cause some top dj not playing it. I csan only go on what I've seen with this record, all the copies I've seen like I said sold for little effort, hightest price about 700. Pretty sure I've got this on tape from Cliff Steele fom mid 80's. Edited April 6, 2007 by chalky
Guest Bearsy Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 So Mischief what are you going to do now, keep looking for Leroy or buy a decent record decisions aye mate

Pretty sure I've got this on tape from Cliff Steele fom mid 80's. cliff had it in the 80s , certainly didnt command any sort of price , but as always been known to hardcore collecters but times a changing who 20 years ago would have thought 2nd rate records like king moses , elipses , stevens and foster ,joseph webster, papa bear etc would make such high prices
Souljazera Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 who would have thought 2nd rate records like king moses , elipses , stevens and foster ,joseph webster, papa bear etc would make such high prices I HEAR YOU yes i am sure some london guys would think they were hot box titles papa bear has got to be some drivel......very very cheap on voices not that long ago and i would imagine quite a few sat at JM Towers.....raking in the dough as some hip hoppers would have it
Guest espo Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 jj daniels - mr lonesome - sure shot Do i love this---indeed i do Brilliant tune-----heard Chalky play this a good while back---better than a lot of the expensive rubbish going round now
