Steve L Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Just picked up a copy of Five Stairsteps - You Cant See ( Windy C ) cheap. Gonna give it a spin at the Attic on Sat, wondered if anyones playing this at the moment or if its been played much in the past?
Baz Atkinson Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Im a collector and very ocasional dj,raved about it for years along with danger shes a stranger which is a masterful mid tempo slice of soul ,the only time ive heard it spun was by teff[i THINK] many many moons ago at a ritz warm up in manchester to the rarest of the rare.Its on a awesome lp also,another brill dancer is also the one i love.Playgirls theme got some wigan activation also.Go for it ,this track definetly needs a airing. I've got it on an old tape from Steve Ward from Nuneaton about '82. The other side Ain't Gonna Rest is better though in my opinion. Mind you if you want some decent Stairsteps stuff, 'Change of Pace', 'Playgirl's Love', 'You Don't Love Me', 'The Girl I Love' and 'Stay Close To Me' are all much better records and deserve to be played out. All very cheap as well.
