Hadleigh Suite, Southend

I remember travelling down to Southend and staying in real dodgy B&Bs, just to have a night out at the Hadleigh Suite. Resident Dj was Mr Gary Dennis and the placed kicked arse every time. A hot and sweaty, packed up venue was always to be had, with many people travelling and staying over for the night. One particular night I picked up a couple of chums from Hemel...The Alkaline Brothers ~ Dave and John (god rest his jazzy soul), took the bend a bit too fast when going down the slip road to the M1...the back end went a bit...might have had something to do with the weight on the back seat ...ha ha ha...i'm sure it will be the usual suspects on soul source who remember the Hadleigh Suite.
