Came across these in a record store the other day and thought they were really cool. As a young soulie I have never seen these before so loved this physical zine someone had made who is as obsessed as me about record and the music.

If anyone could shed some more light or some more info on either of these would be great! I came across 5 so can send pics of the others if someone is interested, or other pages!, more than happy.

Thanks again, Oli.

Record Collector - DJ - and dealer Pete Smith was responsible for Beatin Rhythm - in the 90s - am not sure how many copies there were of that - The Owls Effort was record dealer Richard Domars from the 80’s - think it only ran for about 7 copies - a time capsule !!!!

Owl's Effort is really great to read through, In this specific one he is talking about his trip to America and digging for records in New York, Even though the record market is the way it is now, I like to look at the price difference from then to Current, Most Notably he states you can get a copy of "Delegates of Soul-I'll come running back" easily for a tenner!

You should check out Iain McCartney's excellent 'Soul In Print' book with info on most fanzines from the 60's onwards, available from Amazon.
