It's a shame to see rare, but not inhumanly rare records being overbid beyond their actual value ... maybe only to end up in another UK based store in a few months time, but very likely to be offered for even more.

The sapphires 45 is the standout desperation act for me,not only a very poor version,but the intro doesn’t fit the song at all! 
 

joking aside a did actually turn my nose up at the record for £2 in the 90’s as I wouldn’t pay any money for it

christ I can be harsh😳Im sure a lot of people love the tune.

Also…is it ok to slag off records but sell records on here too🤔

Younghearts never fetches silly money and a great record (imo)....sapphires does have an intro that totally does not go with the song, agreed Lee!!!😂 John Bowie a few bob but rarer on the demo I guess. Probably still to expensive though???....for you guys who post, massive thank you!!! Rob

Yeah I agree on all thoughts rob,the John Bowie has enjoyed a £1k plus run for a while,I can see this one like say the chandlers and other similar oldies coming down to a more realistic amount?

All pretty much as expected but I do think that Frankie and The Classical was a bit cheap considering how rare a decent UK copy is these days and you hardly ever see one for sale and it was a huge record for this of us who are old enough.

And the Darrow Fletcher was decent price in great condition 

it’s not easy these days on London 

if it wasn’t for the easy availability of the USA groovy copy I would’ve thought the UK would go for loads more

Surprised no one has mentioned the eye watering £750 the Cindy Scott demo fetched. Near mint one from a UK seller on Discogs for less than half the price.

I'm still struggling to get over what price the Traditions went for. Utter rubbish 45. Got it twice in Domar soul packs in the 90s and really struggled to pass it on. Nobody wanted it. SWONS.

Ditto The Ravin Mads   "Where Is Love", 717 pounds ? got a  copy off  Dicky Domars Massive list for 30 squid after Pat Brady listed it in 1990. ,tuneless, drab ,offering,  I was" Ravin" ,Gave it away to the much loved Dave Mc Cadden!

Have to agree.One sold on Ebay last year for £645,

I agree, everyone slags it off for always achieveing stupidly high prices but the reality is that if a record is going through a researgence at the clubs it always goes for daft money. 5-6 years ago I sent JM a copy of Milton Wright I belong to You. I bought it for £45 5 years earlier but it became massive at the time and he sold it for £985 which to was nuts because I didn't even like the record. Also it depends on who is bidding just look at the 2 copies of the Tomangoes that sold recently, a VG+ ish copy on Tim Brown for £9k and Ex++ on JM for about £3k. Personally I still prefer auctions to set sales because you get the chance to offer what the record is worth to you at that time and don't lose out because you were either not online at the time or haven't figured out the sneaky ways to get a preview of what is for sale before the emails come out.
