Lucky enough to have seen her twice, The Wilton where she was just fantastic and again 18 months or so ago in Bilbao, again just brilliant despite the advancing years.

R.I.P. and thank you for the music.

Oh no more awful news. YBGTL was one of my favourite's when I started out.

Seeing her perform it live @ Baltic Soul w/ender 30+ years later was goose pimple time.

Of course not just a 1 song artist her Sound Stage 7 LPs essential Soul music.

Lost For Words at this point trying to take it all in, so many Heroes (musically) and so many Friends (Socially)

that we have amassed over the years on this wonderful Musical Ride of ours and here we are again having to come to the terms of another *Much loved One Lost*     So, So Sad.

I totally agree.  My 1st niter as a 15 year old was 1980, I'm now 60 and all my peers and artists are a lot older and of course we will lose them, it's so so sad and painful   but it is what life is   

But the most important thing is that we have lived and danced that music and we will remember it always and take it to our own graves. Sadly I know but truthful x x

Very sad news. I’ve only got to hear ‘You’ve Been Gone Too Long’ to be transported back to The Casino. The first time I heard Ann’s masterpiece, I was going from the main room balcony into Mr M’s…just blew me away. Such a great song…

A brilliant artist. "The Beginning" LP is simply fantastic. As were so many of her other records.
