Sapphires - Gonna Be A Big Thing/You’ll Never Stop Me From Loving You (ABC WD) Vg+ £175 ***HEAR IT*** 

Whilst the debate over which is better, the earlier Yum Yums’ version or this more uptempo take, one things for sure they are both evergreen northern monsters that don’t come to market often! Flip is also stunning although considerably lesser known. Condition: XOL and a small sticker removal tear, vinyl has a lot of light surface marks and visual is lower end Vg+ but plays Vg+ with only minimal audible background noise on the quiet intro. Recent sales both on Discogs and eBay have hit £350 so this is something of a bargain at pretty much half price for a copy that is more than fine for DJ’ing.

Blendells - Night After Night/The Love That I Need (Cotillion) Vg+ £50  ***HEAR IT*** 

Killer Alert! This 45 is sick, genuinely this is a real favourite of mine and while it may not actually be half the going rate (although most copies seem beat and it rarely shows up), it’s still cheap IMHO because a record this good surely cannot remain at this price for long. A lowrider dagger that I’d actually rather not sell if I’m being completely honest. Oh the flip is a fabulous funk edged group dancer too. Condition: some light hairlines and some light crackle on the slow side (although better than most copies I’ve seen/heard), flip plays strong with any noise overpowered by recording.

Delacardos - Got No One/She’s The One I Love (Atlantic) Vg+ £25  ***HEAR IT*** 

From one killer to another, the hauntingly beautiful ‘Got No One’ a 45 that’s risen steadily in price with recent sales at £50/£60 thanks to lowrider demand. Flip it for a fantastic piece of group harmony northern (think was played at Stafford although might well have been the other slightly rarer version, anyway both are great). Condition like those above there are some hairlines and light crackle on the slow side while the flip plays really strongly.
