I am inundated with enquiries every time I list this. My personal favourite of those listed, this seems virtually unknown and whilst part 1 has a couple of YouTube entries, the far better part 2 has only recently been added courtesy of @BarrieWaddington aka @A45Heaven (who’s no bad judge of a 45 given he was responsible for discovering many of Stafford’s finest plays and plenty more before and after). A killer 45 IMHO and not easy to find, will be a three figure 45 now it’s getting plays (and given the names of those that have acquired a copy from me that is going to be very very soon!)

C-Quents - It’s You And Me/Dearest One Essica) Vg+ £50

Double header alert! Not sure which side I like best here, ‘You And Me’ is a criminally underplayed northern group dancer that really deserves more attention, but it’s the flip that creating demand and seen the price rise to £75+ recently, a sublime lowrider group ballad that stands up against many of the rarer and more expensive 45s. Doubt you’ll get another copy at this low price. Don’t sleep!

Mauds - You Made Me Feel So Bad (Mercury) Ex £40

Last but by no means least, the increasingly popular garage soul must have! This one flies out the door every time I list a copy. Reliably informed this killer slab of garage soul had plays in the 90s here and there but has still to crossover to the wider northern scene. This honestly blew me away when I first heard it, garage soul at it’s very best and still cheap (well for now)! Sold a lot of these in recent times and it’s no wonder. If you don’t like this then there’s little hope for you
