Really nice guy - early 80ts Tommy did a live session at the Fleet All-nighters - prior to introducing him on stage I went over and said Tommy where you from expecting Philly / Atlanta / Detroit but he said Barnsley - so I introduced Tommy Hunt as coming all the way from Barnsley Mr Soul himself Tommy Hunt he gave 100% great guy - RIP Tommy

Me and my wife were sat having a pint with Tommy at a club in morecambe what a lovely man ,he was telling us how him and Wilson picket and benny king were always getting stoned back in the day .a true gent and will be sadly missed RIP TOMMY

One of the top class Soul singers across decades. Such a powerful, emotive and expressive voice but never too showy. I think of Tommy as a Classy Soul music artist from that marvellous Big City Soul era. I'll put a load of his music on during the next few days! RIP Tommy.

What a smashing chap he was Tommy Hunt had some right fun with him over the years told some right interesting stories about his singing career and what went on back in the day did quite a bit for charity soul will be sorely missed

Sad news I was lucky enough to meet both tommy and mandy at a friend's wedding years ago and spent 2 hours talking about his life and music a true gentleman highlight for me painthorpe country club 2002 tommy and Sidney barnes singing together on stage condolences to all Tommy's family great man
