Guest mattmale Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Which era had the best music?? link I don't think this is ever going to be settled. It all depends when you grew up or maybe first got into soul music. I got into soul in '78 but never felt part of the 70s scene (too young), when wigan closed i felt more at home in the 80s, Stafford TotW, Leicester Oddfellows, Hinckley Leisure centre, The 100 club, Queens Hall bradford, etc.. that was my growing up era. After rejoining the scene about seven years ago, it has just got better and better for me. These days i think it's better than it ever was, so i vote 2005. Matt
Guest Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 I got talking to a guy from The Wheel and he was telling me about the best records from his time. (I thought they were rubbish) I just thought the stuff from my era was better e.g. Cobblestone, Matt Lucas, Joe Matthews, Vicky Baines, Phantom Janitor, Shamettes, General Assembly, Arin Demain, Yvonne + Violets etc. I know there's good stuff from all eras. I just wanted to know what people though was the best sounds from their own time...
