(Class powerhouse Northern on the top side, slick mid-tempo dancer on the flip, what a twofer, how can you go wrong!)

(Pair of classy femme mid-tempo crossover tunes from the girl that gave us ‘Taking my mind off love’ and ‘Sad girl’)

Showmen – Our love will grow / You’re everything – Swan 4219 WD M- £250

(Yet another double sider that picking the best side is just splitting hairs. Lovely copy)

 

Soundbreakers – Trying to get back to you – Symbol WD M- 220 £100

(Catchy dancer out of Sue Records stable, sublime vocal lead and a mix of male and girl backing, lovely stuff and probably under the radar. 2XOL)

Marv Johnson – Come on and stop – UA 617 Ex+ £100

(Strong hint of Latin on this pulsating Northern floor filler. Gorgeous on Black Stock copy)

Marva Josie – Don’t / I love New York – UA 888 Ex+ £500

(Ever popular, big-voiced femme dancer, what a voice. So hard to find on a Black Stock copy in any condition and this is in great shape)

George Jackson – I found what I wanted – Verve 10658 E+ £80

(Such an understated crossover track)

Magicians – Is it all gone – Villa 704 M- £125

(Superb west coast soul group, one of several out of the brilliant ‘Villa’ stable. Lovely copy, condition, condition, condition)

(Great crossover, minor edge lift does not affect play)
