Steve G Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Its really good to hear nobody bitching about The Futures & Gayle Adams. I always knew that you, the chattering classes, were way too hard on both those little gems. Surely these aren't still being played by anyone?????
Steve G Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I just lurrrrrrrrve that True Image track. Is it being played again? Two records miles apart I reckon Steve - I'd be a bit worried if I'd connected those in my head ! True Image was booted on a white label at least six/seven years ago. I've never quite seen what all the fuss about the Chris Clark track is...there are much better unreleased Motown things around, but there you go, it obviously connects with the dancefloor, and the same goes for Standing On Solid Ground....the dancefloor loves it, the Soul Police hate it. True Image "Haven't stopped dancing yet", Gonzales "I'm not over you yet" - you've got to have a system to tell them apart I don't think it's on a revival, just that a DJ slipped it into his set last Friday....as for Standing on Solid Ground, as I say it's not played in these parts so I wouldn't be able to comment on the dancefloor reaction. Steve
Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 not sure on title but last time i went out i heard a modern soul track by Mary J Blige and my reaction was what the hell. I just didn't get it but i kinda feel i must like it because i quite like her for what she has done.
Joto Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 3rd stupid window from the right Spot on !! sounds like a pub singer !! never understood why it got a round of applause at stoke !! I haven't been there since, agree with the Knick Knack paddy wack also, played at Exeter last saturday week, and was also applauded, i despair !!
Guest in town Mikey Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 (edited) Willie Kendrick - What's that on your finger, is a particularly bad song on its own, that seems to still be getting plays. Add to that Change Your Ways is the other side, and it is a crime of some magnitude to hear WTOYF antwhere, and sends me into chinstoking torment. Edited April 4, 2007 by in town Mikey

Actually I did play "Change your ways" at the last Herts Irish Club - to me it's always been the far better side and stands up as a great dancer. IMHO of course

I dont know how that works for The Professionals - TWILY though I'd like to add my vote to the - I'm not over you yet - poll. Cracking tune. Edited April 4, 2007 by in town Mikey
