Soulboy60 Posted Friday at 18:18 Posted Friday at 18:18 So I've been looking for a thread on James bounty 'Prove yourself a lady' demo, but can I find the one I want? NO So I'll just ask you lot out there. How do you tell an original demo from the boot demo? I have one, looks right I think, has an 'H' stamped in. But I'm not sure. Is there a definitive answer to this question as so far what I have managed to read here is a little bit vague. 3 presses? flexi vinyl? off white? slightly creamy white? scratched matrix? What is it exactly? I know someone here knows the answer.

Solidsoul Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) The original demo will have either R, H or I machine stamped into the run out groove. There was three different pressing plants used to make the originals. Edited 18 hours ago by Solidsoul

I have had an original demo with an R in the runout and now have an issue with the R in the runout. As you all probably know, the original demo has that thin flexible RCA type plastic whereas the boot has that thicker typical 70's bootleg stiffer vinyl. Also I think the print on the bootleg demo is very slightly fuzzy compared to the original sharp print. Edited 1 hour ago by Solidsoul 1
