Denis Law, the one and only king, dead at 84.

He was my true hero as a young red. A passionate player and a natural goal scorer.

The triumvirate of United European Players of the Year now all together.

Although I am  BWFC fan , I used to love watching Denis Law play ,the original goal hanger , babby liner ,  what ever the title he was the master , albeit long before VAR , but even if they'd had it then , he'd have been onside every time, a master in the box , Farewell Denis Rip , condolences to family , friends & fans  .

He came to my place of work long after he had retired, he was doing some promotional work for a printers supplier unfortunately I was on the opposite shift so missed my opportunity to meet the great man, i was gutted.

I used to know his nephew, and I met his son once, too. His nephew looked more like Denis than his son did!

Just been watching the Sky Sports News & the tributes to Denis , & it brought back memories of 68 & the European Cup , when United beat Benfica 4-1 , at Wembley , we where a split supporting team family , my old man was a football league Referee, but we all watched the big games on Tele together, & I remember vividly , we'd not long owned our first colour TV , it took up have the lounge it was that big , and not long after the kick off we had quite a few of our neighbours watching through the lounge window lol , so my Dad said let em in , and we had about 25 , watching all squeezed in sat on the floor , United played in Blue , Denis didn't score but played his part , Bobby Charlton 2, Georgie Best 1 & Brian Kidd 1 , wonderful memories ,

Denis didn’t play unfortunately. He was injured. John Aston took his place. I was there as a 13 year old.

he was such a great player you would be forgiven for thinking he played in the final...but my memory (which is bad) has him as injured and not playing that final. Stretford End paddock supporter.

Spot on Ken , I did say I was a BWFC fan it was my younger brother who was the MUFC fan  , no excuse I know , Denis was out with a cartilage injury just checked, I bet it was great to be there live Jaco It was brilliant on the Tele, thanks to you  both for pointing it out  .

Luckily enough to see Denis in the latter stages at United along with Best, Charlton and the rest of that era. Was at the "back heel" game when he just walked off, and that was that. RIP, the king of Old Trafford
