Never really worked on the floor though so probably put some off who don’t want to work at it and want dance floor winners only

It's a funny old game Chalky, as you know I don't really collect 6o's (I just can't get into that too!) , but within what I do buy it's always what I like, and rarely do I worry whether others want to dance to them!  If others want to dance to them, that's a bonus!

Just a different approach to it I guess.

As has been said if you only buy what you like you'll rarely be disappointed. That was always my philosophy as a collector.

And I was never disappointed. By way of example I remember buying a copy of the Blue Sharks on Gran Prix - when it was "uncovered" and the price fell a few people scoffed. But, I was very happy in having it - I always loved the record, the mystique it once had, and a minter looks beautiful on that label. I still love it and happy to own one - it's still a hard one to get hold of although it's obviously not a rarity in the grand scale of things.

Edit. Just to add to this, this was a big spin for Soul Sam at one point, I seem to recall he bought his copy back from a dealer in Italy, just for the very last all dayer at the Cleethorpes Winter Gardens before it closed for good. Everyone knows who the Blue Sharks really were don't they?

This tune is the very few times I prefer the cover to the original! I think it’s a great record, and defo rare being Italian and promo (giveaway)only! Interestingly this has the most plays by far on my YouTube channel!

I suspect that most records bought never see a DJ’s turntable in public so the Blenders was probably bought for home enjoyment. For sure, there are plenty of rabid buyers who crave the latest sound for their hotbox, desperate for a round of applause…but I reckon this rarity will please the lucky buyer who may well eventually sell it on.
