Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Notations 148 has sold for around £100 region, ..but you should be able to get it cheaper. I bought one just a matter of weeks ago, in top nick and from a reputable dealer - Shifty - for £75.00. Which is about £73.50 more than I paid for the copy that I bought when it came out (and that I no longer have, sob sob...) TONE
Gary Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Can anyone give me the current prices for the folling please: The Notations - I cant stop - Twinight 141 Paid £15 for this about 12 months ago, but it was a bargain, usually £30 (ish).

Guest Juddy Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Funny - the reason I logged onto the board this a.m. was to ask about Elvin Spencer. How much to get "Lift This Hurt" on Twinight? And I gather that the Cozy and Winner versions are different recordings to the Twinight one? I've been living on this new Eccentric Soul: Twinight's Lunar Rotation CD from the Numero Group in Chicago... two discs, great liner notes, like a "best of Twinight OTHER THAN Syl Johnson" retrospective... killer. juddy soulcialism pittsburgh
boba Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 anybody got a Harrison & Majestic Kind on Twinight they wanna flog me? Please? cheers, derek Hey Derek, I think you would dig the COIN version of the song, it's totally different, more like a sweet soul thing than a northern thing, but sounds closer to the things you put on that 30-track CD.

Hey up Bob - hows it going? I've already got the Coin 45 and very nice it is too, it's the Twinight version that's playing hard to get. Ain't you got a copy stashed away over there in Chicagoland you fancy selling me (laughs).... cheers, derek

Ain't you got a copy stashed away over there in Chicagoland you fancy selling me (laughs).... cheers, derek I have most of the harder twinight titles at this point but still don't even have a personal copy of the majestic kind on twinight. There's an ultra-rare second majestic kind 45 on coin, just billed as "harrison", it's a terrible funk dance record called "pickin cotton." I don't have a personal copy of that either but have seen it.

The chosen few on bandit and chosen few are identical recordings to the elvin spencer on twinight, BTW. They're rarer than the twinight record, though. The winner 45 is a different version and doesn't have the backing girls. I'm not sure which version the es cozy is.

ES Cosy is a late 70s issue of the Twinight version. Sounds pretty good, too, but not quite as good as a real Twinight pressing.. Few things are! a/
