Happy New Year to all - hope everyone has a good night tonight! As for me, I'll be staying in with my dog cos he'll be scared of all the fireworks!

We escaped in our motorhome to stay above Scamenden Dam to try and avoid the fireworks. Had a flurry of dull bangs in the distance but nothing like we would have faced staying home. Watched Jools Holland and a few sherbets.

Hats off though to those who braved the weather to see the New Year arrive in Manchester; hard as nails in that torrential rain and winds.
