I'm not sure Ian played it at Blackpool or The Blue Room at Sale but may have done a couple of times with little response . The tape was on repeat in the car so much that it slowed up or ground to a halt. He had so many of this type of record that he wasn't pushing. By this time he was moving to more 70s records such as The Carstairs, Oscar Perry, Marvin Holmes etc. 3

Solidsoul Posted Monday at 07:26 Posted Monday at 07:26 (edited) The first time I heard Jimmy Burns was at Wigan Casino in the late 70's, but I'm not sure if it was Richard Searling or Soul Sam that played it. I thought Jimmy Burns was great, but was not too keen on Brand New Faces. I do also like the Bobby James version as well. Edited Monday at 09:29 by Solidsoul
