AL REED ON AXE BLOCKED FOR SALE IN DISCOGS

This comes up fairly often over the last few years.

Apparently his daughter threatened legal action against Discogs unless they gave her a cut of all sales of Al's recordings including all compositions. 

Even though she has a weak claim Discogs don't want to risk it.

She didn't threaten Ebay though. One sold in August.

Looks like she wants money for nothing would not hold up in a court of law.

She previously did the same on ebay, and amazon I think, but they unblocked after a while. The claim was probably too weak. Discogs probably has less cash for legal assistance so they just block the sales.

I bought one off of here. Surprised she hasn’t chased the seller for her cut of the £20 I paid.

Looks like the "threat" of legal consequences also meant that David Ruffin's LP ( all 25 different releases) "My Whole World Ended" are blocked from sale too as Al wrote "Message From Maria".
