Peter99 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 That's a fantastic photograph. Taken on one of the nights when the camera's were in. It looks like a professional photographer took that. Peter

Happy Feet Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I'm sure it was featured in a earlier topic , taken at a midweek session at the Casino , maybe a Wednesday night promotion , not at an all nighter , lots of youths standing and watching the dancers , probably a local newspaper feature.
Mal C Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Don’t quote me, but I do think I remember this from the Mirrorpix archive, they rep it from one of the old trinity mirror local paper’s archive. I’ll Check but I remember this frame and others being available. ** yep you can get this via Getty, Mirrorpix have a deal with them https://www.mediastorehouse.com/memory-lane-prints/mirror/0000to0099-00079/wigan-casino-dancers-northern-soul-dancing-21320406.html They (Getty) have so much these days, I did work for Redferns in 97/98 when David was still alive, interesting guy. The whole Redfern archive is also now with getty, they have tons of Casino pics
Soulgalore Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 "probably a local newspaper feature" Manchester Evening News 1975? 1
